VILJOENSKROON AGED CARE CENTRE
Deep in the heart of the Free State, surrounded by cattle and corn farms, grain silos and mines, you will find the small town of Viljoenskroon. Viljoenskroon Aged Care Centre forms a very important part of this community and is considered one of the cornerstones of the town.
The Centre's main aim is the holistic care of frail and often lonely elderly people. Here, residents are cared for with dignity until their last day..

Full care rooms – frail care
• Within the Care Department, we have two-bedroom units which are separated by a bathroom and kitchenette.
• Two Infirmaries can each accommodate two people.
• Single rooms share a bathroom. This bathroom is equipped for the shower of, among others, persons in wheelchairs.
• The frail care rooms also consist of two-bed and four-bed rooms that also share bathrooms.
A stepdown facility is available for persons requiring care after major procedures. The room is spacious and has a bathroom.
We have two large dining rooms where all our meals are served, and we host all our social and recreational events.
In our frail care section, we also accommodate residents with Dimension which is very close to our hearts. Our staff is regularly trained, and we also have expertise in wound care.

SERVICES
- 3 balanced meals per day, as well as sandwiches and coffee/tea in the evening (tea and coffee are also served with meals as well as mid-morning and afternoon)
- 24-hour care at full-care centre
- Cleaning services and laundry are available
- Recreation programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays (projects such as crafts etc.)
- Bible study on Wednesdays
- Stretching and strength training on Fridays
- Live streaming of church services on Sundays
- Hair salon
- Foot clinics every 6-8 weeks
- Medication supply and administration (includes ordering and collection of chronic medication from local clinics and pharmacies)
- Snoep Stoep – treats for sale
- Library
- The week of the elderly (Annual week full of programs and excursions)
- Our community is very involved with our Elderly by offering programs and regular treats such as barbecues or serving cake and tea.
- We hold regular fundraisers to boost funds for the Centre. It simply serves as a morale booster too, especially koeksister baking!
